'The Bachelor' Cast News: Rachel Truehart was Officially Engaged on the Fourth of July

Just when everybody was celebrating their independence, 'The Bachelor' and 'The Bachelor Pad' star Rachel Truehart was celebrating her getting engaged with boyfriend Ronnie Lutsberg. It was the perfect weekend for the two lovers as they had the perfect setting and date to have a romantic proposal.

Photos were posted by the reality star herself showing a romantic yet simple garden proposal that Truehart's boyfriend prepared to pop the big question to the lady who was not fortunate to ever get the last rose in Season 16 of 'The Bachelor' with Ben Flajnik and 'Bachelor Pad'.

Now, Truehart has been treated to a sweet surprise by his man who prepared champagne and of course, her diamond ring. "He proposed in Central Park on the Great Lawn," Truehart shared with E! News adding, "He had a burlap picnic basket set up with flowers and champagne and a blackboard that read, 'Will you marry me?'"

It was indeed sweet of Lutsberg to think of proposing to his girlfriend on the fourth of July holiday making it really memorable as it is also apparently Truehart's favorite holiday. "I'm obsessed with the Fourth of July. It's my favorite holiday. So it was extra special and really sweet," Truehart shared.

Meanwhile, the proposal wasn't all too formal according to the reality star. It was actually a bit funny as she revealed that she thought someone else was getting the proposal. "What's so funny is that when I saw it, I said to him, 'Babe, we better leave. It looks like someone's getting engaged.'" She said.

Truehart's parents even appeared right after the proposal making it a perfect ending to the engagement. "He had my parents come and meet us after," she revealed adding, "It took a while to sink it. It felt so surreal."

And so even though there are a lot on Truehart's plate being now a photo shoot producer for Ralph Lauren and her fiancé being on Sales, the star revealed that she however can't wait to start planning.

"Everyone's telling us to hold off on planning and enjoy this part of it, but it's hard," she shared. "I want to start planning it right away!"
