‘The Avengers’ Cast Rumors: Beyoncé May Feature as Superhero in ‘Infinity War’ Part 1 & 2

If a recent report in The Daily Star is to be believed, Beyoncé Knowles, the queen of the transcendent pop-music universe, is said to be in talks to renew her acting career and play a superhero in the upcoming 'Avengers' sequels - the 'Infinity Wars' part 1 and 2.

According to Latin Post, it is believed that Beyoncé will be able to draw millions of new fans to the 'Avengers' franchise, which has already achieved record-breaking numbers with the first two installments. In fact, the latest sequel earned $1 billion at the box-office only in six weeks - considered to be an exceptional feat for any movie in the current digital age.

The 33-year-old singer is reported to be in negotiations with Marvel and Disney regarging a particular role along with the current female franchise stars Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch).

While there is no information regarding the role Beyoncé is currently in negotiations, as of now it is more or less obvious that she is likely to appear as a superhero on the silver screen. According to reports, a number of roles that inherent to the Marvel Comic universe are being considered for her, including Boom-Boom, Blink, Tigra and Hawkeye.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a senior Disney executive said, "We would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel's existing catalogue of comic book characters."

It is worth mentioning here that Beyoncé and husband Jay Z recently shifted from New York to Holmby Hills in Los Angeles with a view to regenerate the singer's acting career. Earlier, Beyoncé acted in movies like 'Austin Powers: Goldmember,' 'The Pink Panther' and 'Dreamgirls.' The singer won a Golden Globe nomination for her role in 'Dreamgirls.'

Meanwhile, a report in Comic Book stated that Marvel's 'Avengers: Infinity War Part 1' is scheduled for May 4, 2018 release, and the followup movie, 'Avengers: Infinity War Part 2,' is expected to hit theaters on May 3, 2019. In addition, both these 'Avengers' sequels may also get an IMAX release alongside the normal theatrical release.
