'The Affair' Season 3 Start Date, News: Jonathan Cake To Portray Whitney's Love Interest
The new season of "The Affair" will see Whitney Solloway get a new love interest.
It can be recalled that in season 2, Solloway fell in love with Scotty Lockhart. In the upcoming season, however, the troubled teen will set her heart on another man.
TV Line reported that the show has tapped "Desperate Housewives" star Jonathan Cake to portray Whitney's boss and new love interest. While not much has been revealed about his character, there are speculations that their romance will not go well with Whitney's parents, Noah and Helen. In the previous season, Noah had a fight with Scotty when he found out that Whitney was pregnant with his child. It can also be recalled that Scotty was killed off in season 2, and the season ended with Noah making an admission during the trial that it was he who had killed Scotty, although that was not entirely true.
Aside from Cake, another newcomer is set to play an important role in season 3. Guy Barnett will play a recurring role as a graduate student and campus Lothario next season. According to TV Line, his character will cross paths with Noah and that is where his story begins.
French actress Irene Jacob also landed a role in the upcoming series, where she will play Juliette Le Gall, the new love interest of Noah who has a few dark secrets of her own. According to reports, she will play a huge role in helping Noah understand himself a little better.
"The Affair" season 3 premieres on November 20 on Showtime.
