The next episode of 'The Affair', entitled "Sticking it Out," was recently promoted in a sneak peek clip showing teacher Noah Solloway giving the married waitress Alison Lockhart a gift.

In the short clip, Noah and Alison met up in a restaurant wherein a friend of Noah approached him and said hello. Alison revealed that a Sunday newspaper is interested in featuring them on the front page of the style section. Noah was glad about the news and proceeded to reveal his gift to Alison which turned out to be a piece of jewelry.

When Alison asked Noah the reason for the present, the teacher replied "I don't know, sticking it out." Alison remained speechless as the teaser ended.

According to the synopsis, Alison requested Noah to represent her father in an award ceremony and as the waitress came across her grandmother, an uncomfortable situation brews up.

Previously, the seventh episode ended with the discovery of Noah and Alison's affair by their respective partners. In consequence, Noah and his wife Helen had a big fight while Alison and her husband Cole discussed reconciliation.

Alison and Cole decided to fix their marriage, but the outcome may change in the upcoming episodes. The show may present unpredictable events since the affair has been discovered.

'The Affair' Season 1 Episode 8 "Sticking it Out" will air on Dec. 7, 2014 at 10 pm ET.
