'Text From Jesus' App Now Available in KJV, Modern English, Hip Hop, and LOLJesus; 'Who Hasn't Wanted to Hear from Jesus'
New App, "Text from Jesus," is claiming that Jesus himself is texting the user as scripture texts from known and unknown version of the Bible are sent.
"Who hasn't wanted to hear from Jesus once in awhile? How about every day? Now you can," is the quote from the App makers on iTunes App page of "Text from Jesus."
The App pulls scriptures from the New Testament and sends them to the user's electronic devices, claiming it is a text from Jesus Himself.
"Text from Jesus" is available in King James Version, Modern English, Hip Hop, and LOLJesus and only pulls scripture from the New Testament.
The Bible Hip Hop Version was written by Mark Charles Hardie, in hopes of reaching a younger generation. The wording is rap music-influenced, according to Amazon. The author is the prince of the Chabad-Satmar-Sanz royal dynasty.
"Do not judge, an' ya will not be judged; cuz da judgements ya give iz da judgements ya will git, an' da standard ya use will be da standard used fo' ya," reads a quote pulled from the Apps facebook page as an example of the Hip Hop translation.
Although not made clear what the LOLJesus version of the App is, the original LOLJesus refers to a subgenre of images that are based on iconic paintings of Jesus and various captions of Jesus Jokes for Atheists to offend Christian beliefs.
Although the atheists use LOLJesus to promote their agenda, it is really an LOLCat Bible Translation Project. It is a wiki-based website set up in July 2007 by Martin Grondin, where editors aim to parody the entire Bible in "LOLspeak," the slang popularized by the LOLcat Internet phenomenon.
Unlike other Apps of its kind, "Text from Jesus," does not require Internet access to be used. The free version is supported by ads, but these can be removed through an in-app purchase.
The FREE App features daily quotes and sends out daily notifications to its user; allowing for sharing favorite quotes with friends on Facebook, Twitter, or via email and SMS.? This app is designed for both iPhone, iTouch, and iPad, which are also available for Android in the App store.
