'Terminator: Genisys' Release Date: New Image of T-800 Cyborg Released [VIDEO]

More and more photographs, teasers, and rumors seem to be flooding the Internet as the release date of the fifth installment in the time travel movie series starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, 'Terminator: Genisys', draws near.

USA Today recently posted a latest still photograph from 'Terminator: Genisys' movie showing a skinless T-800 cyborg with shimmering eyes positioned on the ground - which appears to be a Skynet military station.

Basically, Skynet is an artificial intelligence, which is the main antagonist of the 'Terminator' since the first flick of the series was released way back in 1984.

The last 'Terminator' film starring Christian Bale in the character of John Connor 'Terminator: Salvation' was released in 2009 amidst mixed reviews. 'Terminator: Salvation' was set after (what is referred to as) the future war, which comprises the first three films of the 'Terminator' series starring Schwarzenegger.

In 'Terminator Genisys', fans will be seeing Schwarzenegger reprising the character that has been largely responsible for his journey to superstardom way back in the mid-1980s. In fact, the latest 'Terminator' movie will be a part of a new trilogy that was announced by Paramount Pictures in 2014.

While, 'Terminator: Genisys' is slated for a July 1, 2015 release, the second and third films of the new 'Terminator' trilogy are currently scheduled for release on May 19, 2017, and June 29, 2018.

Now fans and critics alike are waiting to see if the production of the second and third movie of the new 'Terminator' moves ahead and according to plan, even if 'Terminator Genisys' does not fare well at the office. In fact, as per earlier plans, 'Terminator: Salvation' was supposed to be the first movie of a new series as well.
