'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Trailer Dropped But No Word On Release Date Yet?

While anticipation for "Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy" release date only heightened when a teaser trailer was dropped during the recent The Game Awards 2016 in Los Angeles, the minds behind the game have been coy about giving more details.

Kevin Bruner, Telltale Games CEO, said per Screenrant, "In Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, players will take on multiple roles within the ragtag band of heroes, and take the pilot's seat in directing their escapades around the universe."

"We are always honored to be working with the best creative partners and storytellers in entertainment, and working with Marvel on this series leaves us excited to share what we've been developing when it premieres in 2017," he added.

Other than the fact that there would be five episodes, there's no other information given for the new game. Not the "Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy" release date, not the gameplay and certainly not the characters.

There's also no word whether or not the story will pick right up where the 2014 movie of the same title starring Chris Pratt and Zoe Zaldana left off, or if it will start off from scratch totally independent from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But The Verge said that judging from the studio's past releases such as "The Game of Thrones," "Batman" and "The Walking Dead," the latest production may also focus on story with a lot of focus on choices that could bring the game to any direction.

For now, however, we will just have to wait for more information on "Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy" release date.
