'Tekken 7' Xbox One & PS4 Release News, Rumors: New Game to Feature at EVO 2015 Event?
Gamers and avid fanatics of the hit game series Tekken are now anxious as its 7th franchise title is going to release in the US. The new entry in the hit game series was first announced last year at the 2014 EVO Championship, and is already available in Japanese game centers.
Tekken 7 debuted its arcade version at the Super Nova Arcade in Fukushima last week and is now released in Japanese arcades. However, there is no release date yet for the US version of the game.
According to several reports, Tekken 7 will be one of the games played in the EVO 2015 which will take place at the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Reportedly, other games that are lined up for the upcoming event are: Ultra Street Fighter IV, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Guilty Gear XRD-Sign, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat X, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and Super Smash Bros. Melee.
As Xbox and PS4 users wait for the announcement of Bandai Namco for Tekken 7's official release date, a characters leak came out online which Game director Katsuhiro Harada addressed. "Leaks happen all the time, like the Street Fighter 1 that's a pretty big one [and] that was directly Capcom apparently...there's no one to really be angry at," he reportedly said in an interview posted online.
In the character data leak, new characters were introduced. Apparently, Jin Kazama, Devil Jin, and one new female character will be featured in the game. In addition, a brand new male fighter will be returning in the game although there are still no official word about it yet.
