'Tekken 7' News Update: Bandai Namco’s Single Story Mode Leaks Character Origins

Bandai Namco's "Tekken" is known to be a one-on-one fighting video game, but it is revealed that game series' "Tekken 7" is set to have a single player story mode.

"Tekken 7" opens a story mode, presumably to enhance singer player gaming experience, Game N Guide has learned. As per the publication, the new story mode is bound to present the characters' backstory, which lets fans and gamers to have deeper understanding of a specific fighter's history.

In an interview with Dual Shockers, Bandai Namco Games America Brand Manager Mark Religioso suggested that the single player story serves as a focal point for "Tekken 7's" forthcoming console version.

In a statement, Religioso said that what they were seeing now with the trends in fighting games was that fans wanted more than the core fighting experience, mentioning that they were also interested in a more complete and deeper single player experience. According to him, it was the reason they were pursuing story mode deeply in the game.

Religioso further explained that they were integrating it in a special way where it went in-game cinematics to actual gameplay with a lot of dialogue between characters, for players to fully experience and feel the story.

"Tekken 7" is Bandai Namco's forthcoming fighting game and ninth installment in the "Tekken" fighting game franchise. For the time being, it is known that the characters fans and gamers know so far are not final and Bandai is yet to reveal more competitors soon.

Bandai Namco's "Tekken 7" is set to be released in early 2017.
