'Tekken 7' 4K News & Update: Advanced Resolution Promises Crisp Gameplay On PC
Bandai Namco has recently launched a new gameplay trailer for "Tekken 7" showcasing the game in 4K resolution.
The clip opens with two female characters fighting, using their own skills set. The video's 4K resolution clearly defines the in-game stadium, as well as the battle and skill effects, such as blazing attacks, hits, and knock-outs.
According to Digital Trends, "Tekken 7" is set to land on Microsoft Windows PC in 4K resolution, which sees characters and the environment in crisp hues and smooth motion, even when watching on a screen downscaled to 1080p. As per the publication, it is still uncertain as to how the 4K gameplay resolution will impact frame rates; thus, a better GPU might be necessary.
The concept of a "Tekken 7" with 4K resolution started in March, when Bandai reportedly held a survey on "Tekken 7's" link to Microsoft Windows, as per Tweak Town. The survey, which has since ended, was hosted by Harris Interactive. However, the questions reflected the studio's desire in bringing the title to the PC, as per the publication.
"Tekken 7" is Bandai Namco's fighting video game and ninth installment in the "Tekken" series. First to utilize the Unreal Engine, the title features a diverse content of characters, costumes, stages, and items.
Bandai Namco's "Tekken 7" was initially released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and on Microsoft Windows PC in March 2015. The upcoming 4K edition is set to be released for Microsoft Windows PC in early 2017.
