'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' New Cast News: Brian Tee to Play Shredder in 'TMNT 2'
Tohoru Masamune, the actor who portrayed The Shredder in the first installment of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film franchise, has been replaced. A new actor has been cast to play the villainous character in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, and that's actor Brian Tee.
Michael Bay will be returning to produce the second film in the series, and Megan Fox and Will Arnett will both be returning to play their roles from the first film.
There will also be some on screen romance for the two actors, with their love interests being played by Stephen Amell and Alessandra Ambrosio.
Tyler Perry will also be making an appearance as a new cast member, playing the role of Baxter Stockman. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is set to be directed by Dave Green, known for his work on Earth to Echo.
The second chapter of the film series is set to go to big screens on June 3rd, 2016. The sceenplay authors of the first movie, Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec will be returning to write the new movie's script.
There has been no word as yet about the storyline of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. But it has been rumored that Bebop and Rocksteady, a mutated warthog and a rhino are expected to be one of the many forces antagonizing the Turtles in this film.
Tee has recently finished filming a drama pilot for ABC called "Love is a 4 Letter Word," directed by George Tillman Jr. and written and produced by Diana Son. He is also known for his role in The Wolverine.
Tee has also played roles in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Mortal Kombat: Legacy.
