Though "Teen Wolf" season 5 saw how Scott's ties were put to test, it ended on a high and happy note. With its finale ending well, fans expect season 6 to kick off just as fine.

According to series creator Jeff Davis, the conflicts that occurred in season 5 were intended to fortify bonds.

"For us, we wanted to take them to the lowest point. We wanted to figure out what would happen to this group of friends if they broke up and all went their separate ways," he said.

One of the strongest story arcs of the series is the friendship between Scott and Stiles. More than the wisecracks they share and the romantic side-stories incorporated in the plot, it is their unwavering support for each other that has touched viewers the most.

In the upcoming season, fans will get more of Scott and Stiles' moments as friends. Davis disclosed that their friendship will be tested in season 6 again and again to show how far their friendship can go.

"One of the things that we're really trying to do with season 6 is show the strength of friendships and test that again. We're taking it back to the story of Scott and Stiles' friendship and how meaningful that is," he said.

However, the pilot episode of the next installment will focus less on friendships but more on the long-standing relationship of Stiles and Lydia. The series creator believes that the romance between the two characters being the big focus of season 6 may make some viewers hopping mad, while some thrilled.

He teased that something big will happen between Stiles and Lydia in the premiere episode of the season so fans should tune in to see.

MTV has yet to announce the official premiere date for "Teen Wolf" season 6.
