'Ted 2' Release Date News: Universal Pictures Airs Trailer During Super Bowl for Upcoming Film

The sequel to Seth MacFarlane's critically acclaimed "Ted" film has dropped a trailer highlighting what we can expect from the movie.

Seth MacFarlane reprises his role as co-writer, director, and mo-cap for the teddy bear Ted. Mark Wahlberg will also reprise his role as Ted's owner and friend, John, along with the help of Amanda Seyfried, and Morgan Freeman.

Mila Kunis has been reported to not be reprising her role as John's wife, most likely because she was in labor at the time of production.

Seyfried will be playing Ted's legal representative, while Morgan Freeman will be "an iconic civil rights lawyer".

The first movie grossed $549 million, and took the spot as the highest grossing R-rated comedy film ever. Seth's most recent project, "A Million Ways To Die In The West," didn't do nearly as well.

"This green-band preview lays out the story for Ted 2 conceived by MacFarlane and his trusted collaborators Alec Sulking and Wellesley Wild: the living, foul-mouthed, and usually badly-behaved teddy bear Ted (MacFarlane) and his not so dignified girlfriend-turned wife Tami-Lynn (Jessica Barth) want to adopt a kid. First, however, Ted has to prove that he's human - in the eyes of the law, that is," writes Screen Rant.

As it stands, the movie is set to hit theaters on June 26th.
