Grammy winner Taylor Swift announced last weekend that she will be an honorary member of best friend Jaime King's family as the two announced over social media sites that Swift will be Godmother to King's second child.

Swift posted a photo on Instagram of her kneeling down in front of King, looking at King's exposed baby bump with a small smile showing on both of the women's faces. The caption for the photo said, "Guess who just got named Godmother to this little one...(ME)."

On King's Instagram page, a different pose was shown with Swift looking over King's shoulder, pulling up the shirt to reveal King's stomach in a loving way. Both had very touching expressions on their faces. King's caption read, "And @Taylor swift will forever be looking over our new baby."

This will be King's second child. In the past she and her husband Kyle Newman have expressed their struggle with infertility as King suffered five miscarriages. They finally were blessed with a son, James Knight Newman, in 2013. King announced her second pregnancy last month.

The popular singer and Hart of Dixie star apparently met at a Weinstein Co. Golden Globes party over a year ago. Since then the two have been seen going to lunch together, enjoying sunshine in the summer, and posing for many photos together for both paparazzi and their personal social media accounts.

Both women have expressed their friendship to many sources. King told Jimmy Fallon on his 'Tonight Show' once, "She's the most fun, most loving, and most generous friend, and I feel very blessed to have her in my life."
