Taylor Swift News, Rumors: 'Blank Space' Singer Insures Legs for $40 Million

Before Taylor Swift goes on her world tour in May, the "Blank Space" singer was reportedly looking into getting insurance for her legs. Apparently, after working with her team and insurance companies, she learned that her legs were worth a stunning $40 million.

A source told The National Enquirer that the singer was shocked to hear that her legs were worth that much, only expecting them to be insured for only $1 million. The source said she was even "a little embarrassed" about the whole thing.

Insuring something such as legs is nothing out of the ordinary for performers. Other celebrities who have insured their legs include Heidi Klum, Rihanna, David Beckham and Mariah Carey.

If something were ever to happen to Swift that resulted in her not performing for a show, then she wouldn't have to worry about losing a lot of money. Right now, Swift has a net worth of $200 million.

"It seems like a ludicrous sum," said the source, "but if something was to happen to her legs, Taylor wouldn't be able to give her signature stage performances. Her...career would be in big trouble."

As of now, Swift's team is going through the paperwork this week and hopes to be done before Swift leaves on tour in May.

The 25-year-old has had major success with the release of her newest album, 1989 back in October with hit singles like "Shake It Off," "Blank Space," and "Welcome to New York." Her world tour kicks off in Japan and goes back and forth from European countries such as Germany and Britain and North America states like Florida and Nevada, ending in Australia.
