Taylor Swift News: New Album '1989' Success and Year 2014 Review
Coming out into the scene in 2006, Taylor Swift, age 25, has certainly made a deep impression on her growing list of fans and followers who always wait eagerly for her latest offering. Apparently, whenever she releases a new album, it takes the world by storm. Any year she releases a new album, it becomes a Taylor Swift year.
From the beginning she has been releasing an LP every other autumn and used to cap off the year with a new entry in her public diary - to say that she has become a national obsession would not be far from the truth, says Rolling Stone. She is perceived as a young person who is continuously falling in and out of love with herself and others.
When she was just 16, she fell in love with Tim McGraw's music and love itself and that was the beginning of an illustrious career. Her ability was strengthened by 2012's Red and reaffirmed with this year's 1989.
During 2014, she shifted the narrative with her creativity and style. While people tried to understand and focus on who the lyrics of her songs were about, she proved that she is the protagonist in these stories. 2014 was a year of power moves for her and her landmark achievements.
Last January 26th, she did not win a Grammy, but she sat in front of a piano and belted the brilliant, heart-wrenching ballad "All Too Well," it was one of that album's best showcases of her storytelling abilities and while not winning a Grammy, she won the hearts of the people.
On June 12th, fans saw the end of her record-breaking 'Red' World Tour - she has reportedly raked in $110-million in the North American leg of her tour.
August 18th marked her album's "Shake it Off" movie video which had a clip directed by the legendary Mark Romanek who had stepped away from the music video world for nine years. Of course, he did collaborate with Jay Z on the performance-art film "Picasso Baby" in 2013.
Last but not least, on September 8 she was featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in which she talked about many over her great achievements over the years.
