Tamela Mann Wins NAACP Image Award For Outstanding Gospel Album For 'Best Days Deluxe Edition' (VIDEO)

Gospel singer Tamela Mann received a NAACP Image Award this past weekend at the 45th NAACP Image Awards in Pasadena, California.

The singer won for Outstanding Gospel Album (Traditional or Contemporary) of The Year for her CD, Best Days Deluxe Edition. It was her first victory at the awards show.

"I give praise and thanks to the Lord for the many blessings, and I'm thankful to everyone for the strong support of my music," said Mann in a press release. "I'm honored to be recognized by the NAACP and to share my music with a new audience. All of the glory goes to Him."

Mann previously performed at the NAACP Image Award on FOX in 2010, where she also received her first NAACP Image Award nomination for the category of Outstanding Gospel Album (Traditional or Contemporary) of The Year for her CD, The Master Plan and two nominations in 2013 for Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Gospel Album (Traditional or Contemporary) of The Year for her CD, Best Days.

Mann is a seven-time Stellar Award and two time Dove Award winner. She is also an actress and producer and has been nominated for the Grammy's.

The NAACP Image Awards celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film and also pays tribute to individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.
