'Tales of Berseria' Release Date News, Rumors: Game Confirmed For 2017 Launch; Players To Use Character Switch In Battle
Fans are Bandai Namco Entertainment's video game "Tales of Berseria" are set to be thrilled, as the game has been confirmed for a 2017 release. In line with the video game's release, players are set to benefit with a battle system involving character switches.
On Apr. 22, Bandai Namco announced that "Tales of Berseria" is set to be released in non-Japanese territories in early 2017, Game Spot has learned. The said announcement is supported by the video game's official Twitter account. On the same date, "Tales of Berseria" wrote on Twitter "#Talesof Berseria is coming early 2017," featuring photos of new characters and gameplay.
With regard "Tales of Berseria's" battle system , it was revealed that the video game is set to feature the Switch Blast system. According to the game's official website, Switch Blast refers to a character switch system that improves the freedom level in combat and enhances players' strategic gameplay.
As per the website, Switch Blast is simply the action that the player switches a character in battle to back up another character, a system similar to some Marvel and Capcom arcade video games.
In "Tales of Berseria," the back up character possesses more than one soul than other characters upon battle entry. This means that a character's loss in a battle allows a player to switch a substitute character to fight the opponent. To execute the switch, the player just has to push down on the d-pad. Upon the switch, the new character in battle has additional souls to the number of souls he had.
Overall, "Tales of Berseria" is set to hit game stores in 2017.
