The Orange are seeking to extend their current winning streak to three games when they host the Golden Bears on Thursday night.

Previously, Syracuse defeated the Hampton Pirates by a final score of 65-47 where Orange forward Rakeem Christmas had 15 points, 16 rebounds, and a blocked shot.

Legendary Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim expressed his thoughts regarding his squad's recent victory.

"The first time you play against a zone a whole game you're not as fluid," said Boeheim to the reporters.

"But we did some good things, although we didn't attack it quite as well as we'd like to. We're not going to have many easy games."

Meanwhile, the Golden Bears are looking to stretch their current winning streak to three games when they battle the Orange at Madison Square Garden on Thursday.

California previously demolished Kennesaw St. by a final score of 93-59, where Golden Bears guard Tyrone Wallace had 18 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in a triumphant performance versus the Owls.

"I had like one point in the first half," said Wallace to reporters.

"They did a good job of clogging the lane. Jordan [Mathews] and Jabari [Bird] were able to loosen it up for guys like me to drive."

Golden Bears head coach Cuonzo Martin also expressed his thoughts regarding his team's decisive win against the Owls.

"I thought it was too much one-on-one play, not making the extra pass. I don't think the ball flowed like it should flow when you got guys open. But other than that, guys settled down and we played the way we're capable of playing," said Martin to reporters.

"He had a smaller, quick guy underneath him and that was great for him. He just settled down, made the adjustments and did what he needed to do."
