'Switched At Birth' 2016 Premiere News: Upcoming Season 5 Postponed Until 2017?
ABC's family series "Switch At Birth" appears to be having some problems due to the latest news that Season 5 will be its finale and it will be delayed until 2017.
Season 4 finale had ended on Oct. 26, 2015, and viewers may have to wait for longer, notes TV Line. According to the series creator Lizzy Weiss, they are not sure when in 2017 they will back on regular screening.
"I'll tweet this on a Friday night when no one is listening. We won't be back till 2017, I'm not sure exactly when. BUT WAIT FOR US," as she wrote via Twitter. On the other hand, TV Series Finale gathered more of her announcements.
"It's a bummer but it is what it is. I was a fan of Mad Men and I waited forever for its final season. True fans will wait. It's worth it."
"In other happier news, the last three minutes of our race episode are pretty awesome. And will still be awesome in 2017. (And you will cry.)"
"I'm deciding on a title for the series finale. As you know, they are all painting titles. Before I commit, suggestions welcome."
TV Line also noted that Season 5 of "Switched at Birth" will include the milestone 100th episode. The Peabody Award-winning series. will have a 10-episode season that will conclude with a special 90-minute episode.
While Weiss continues to update the fans regarding the current status of the show, she has not discussed the real cause of the delay. For that, viewers may have to wait further to hear more about the reason for the long wait.
