Freeform has pushed back the premiere of "Switched at Birth" season 5, which will serve as the show's final season.

On Monday, the network announced that the 10-episode farewell season of the series will commence on Jan. 31, Tuesday, at 9:00 p.m. This immediately follows the season 4B premiere of "The Fosters" at 8:00 p.m.

It can be recalled that back in August, Freeform announced that the launch of "Switched at Birth" season 5 will be on Jan. 24, Tuesday. However, it had to move the launch one week later.

"Switched at Birth" will return after a long hiatus. The previous installment of the series aired on Oct. 26, 2015.

According to reports, "Switched at Birth" season 5 will feature the 100^th episode of the series, which will conclude with a special 90-minute series finale. The new season will particularly tackle campus race relations and will open with an episode told from the perspective of some African-American characters.

Starring Kate Leclerc, Vanessa Marano, Constance Marie, D.W. Moffett, Lea Thompson and Lucas Grabeel, "Switched at Birth" is a family drama that revolves around blended families and deaf culture, with a broad range of deaf and hard-of-hearing actors. For its upcoming season, guest stars Sean Berdy and Marlee Matlin are reportedly going to return to reprise their roles in the series.

The series is known to feature scenes shot in American Sign Language (ASL). In March 2013, the series aired its groundbreaking all-ASL episode.

"Switched at Birth" and "The Fosters" will join the January 2017 premieres of new Freeform series, "Shadow Hunters" and "Beyond."
