‘Survivor’ Episode Recap, Spoilers: Host Jeff Probst Stops Reward Challenge, Calls Out ‘Big Charade’- The Alliance of Five

'Survivor' is currently in its 29th season with 'Survivor: San Juan del Sur - Blood vs. Water', and during last Wednesday's episode, host Jeff Probst left a reward challenge unfinished and had the survivors decide who was going to win.

The reality television series, known for its strategic game play between survivors, or contestants, involves an alliance of five people banding together and rigging the system to take down the other survivors in a "big charade."

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Probst explained his decision not to prolong the games, saying that he knew the alliance of five will target those who were not with them. However, when the time came for the final five to compete amongst themselves, they did not engage in the kind of game play he anticipated.

"Instead, they started nonchalantly chatting as a group about what they should do next," he said, "Right out in the open with not a care in the world."

Probst claimed that just like the audience, he would have been bored watching the conversation and decided to nix the challenge entirely and ask them who they thought should get the reward.

However, Something good did come out of his decision though, as more time was dedicated to other matters, such as the arguments between Missy/Baylor and Reed, and between couple Jaclyn and Jon, as well as more time for the Tribal Council.

During the Tribal Council, Reed unfortunately found himself getting voted off as he was unable to form an alliance with the arguing couple Jaclyn and Jon, and found himself under fire by Missy and Baylor.

In the next few days, Jon and Jaclyn found themselves unknowingly in trouble as Natalie is still secretly plotting to eliminate Jon for taking out Jeremy just days before, who was one of Natalie's close friends. After Jon won Immunity, however, the group of five followed through on axing their competition, and voted out Alec in the subsequent Tribal Council.

One last person is standing against the alliance, which is Keith, though Natalie is making her own moves and still planning on taking Jon out of the game sometime soon.

'Survivor' airs on CBS every Wednesday at 8 pm.
