Surface Pro 5 News, Rumors: Microsoft To Launch Two Products Under The Brand?

The Surface Pro 4 was launched in October 2015, so it's really doubtful that Microsoft is going to release the Surface Pro 5 this year. However, that didn't stop blogs and tech sites from publishing rumors or what they claimed as news regarding the tablet.

According to PC Advisor, for example, published a photo of a glass display from Microsoft Building 88, which made it appear that there are two products in the pipeline. The photo clearly shows one Surface tablet with "2016" and also the phrase "coming soon."

What's interesting, however, is that there three placeholders in the glass display that only says, "2017." Does this lend credence to the news and rumors regarding the release of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 next year?

Tech news site ZDNet previously shared the rumors that Microsoft is releasing a new product under the Surface brand in late 2016; whether or not it's the Surface Pro 5 is not clear at this point.

There are two factors that may delay the release date for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, there's the Intel Kaby Lake seventh-gen processor, which is just being rolled out to manufacturers, and the Windows "Redstone 2" update.

The Kaby Lake will reportedly be released in October this year, according to speculations. Meanwhile, Microsoft announced another update being rolled out after the Microsoft Windows Anniversary Edition Beta. Most people presumed that the company is already referring to the "Redstone 2."

Both the Kaby Lake and the Redstone 2 will reportedly be featured in the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, according to the multiple news reports and rumors.
