Surface Book 2 Release Date News: Rumors Continue To Circulate Microsoft’s Flagship?

The news and rumors on the Surface Book 2 continue to circulate online amid the conflicting reports of its release date.

If all the rumors are true, the device would either roll out as early as October this year or later in the first quarter of 2017. Everything hinges on the Kaby Lake processor which would address a lot of issues for Microsoft.

Despite some drawbacks in the 2-in-1 Surface Book, like the complaints about its dynamic fulcrum hinge that gathers dust in the long run, not to mention the rather weird design, the tablet also has a battery life that leaves much to be desired.

That's why there's so much anticipation over the news and rumors on the Surface Book 2. Tech Radar said that the 2017 release date is more logical considering all the issues surrounding the 2-in-1. Plus it would make sense for Microsoft to wait for the Kaby Lake processor, which has started to roll out to PC manufacturers.

Then there's the 14nm micro-processor from Intel which is said to release at the end of this year, which would significantly improve performance of the Surface Book 2 if all the news reports surrounding the chip are true.

One good news about the Surface Book 2, however, is that Microsoft is reported to be doing away with the dynamic fulcrum hinge, which leaves an unsightly gap on the device whenever it is closed. For now, however, there's no official news from Microsoft on the specs of the 2-in-1 tablet/laptop so people will just have to wait and take all the rumors with a grain of salt.
