'Supernatural' Season 11 Plot Rumors: New Season to Introduce Femme Fatale Amara to Take on Dean
Actor and occasional director Jensen Ackles recently took to his Twitter handle to announce that The CW team behind 'Supernatural' is all geared up to air the premiere episode of the show's Season 11 on Oct. 7.
According to IB Times, recently Ackles, who portrays the character of Dean Winchster in 'Supernatural,' posted a Father's Day selfie along with his onscreen brother Jared Padalecki and their children, on Twitter with the comment, "Back on a plane... can only mean 1 thing. Season 11, here I come."
Therefore, it is now official that both Sam and Dean are back in action. However, the first episode they will be filming on July 7 will not be episode 1 'The Bad Seed.' Executive producer Jim Michaels tweeted, "The 1st Ep of @cw_spn (Supernatural) that we will shoot for Season 11 will be 3rd to air on October 21, 2015 #SPNfamily with @JensenAckles at the helm!"
Apart from posting a picture of him, looking for locations to film Season 11, Michaels also shared a set photo of Misha Collins aka Castiel piling up food all over Timothy Omundson, who portrays the character of Cane. According to the report, the second photograph may possibly be from the sets of Season 10, as Caine has been killed by Dean in the previous season, after which the Mark of Caine was reassigned to the eldest Winchester brother. Apparently, 'Supernatural' has advanced from the First Blade and the Mark, with more urgent issues like the 'Darkness' arriving on earth.
Meanwhile, a report in TVLine notes the arrival of a new femme fatale for 'Supernatural' Season 11. According to reports, the episode titled 'The Bad Seed' will mark the debut of Amara, a woman in her late 20s and possessing "an acid tongue and a seductive beauty". She is supposed to be an alien who is not very impressed with Earth, but decides to stay back and remain for the entire Season 11.
It is possible that Amara is one of the beings that were set freeed when Dean opened the gates that had locked 'Darkness.'
