'Supergirl' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Series Creators In Discussion With CBS Regarding Season Renewal?

While it has not been revealed yet whether "Supergirl" will be renewed for a second season or not, fans are positive that the cliffhanger left by the season 1 finale already guarantees a follow-up season.

A potential storyline unfolded in the final episode of season 1 when a Kryptonian spaceship pod descended from the sky and crashed out on the road, catching Kara by surprise. The episode, titled "Better Angels," did not reveal who was inside the pod, but it showed Kara and Martian Manhunter positively startled when they tried to check who the passenger was.

The creators of "Supergirl" do not want to let the cat out of the bag right now, but it seems that season 2 is already in the cards.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, "Supergirl" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said that whoever was in the pod will "definitely shake things up" in the next installation.

"It's an important character, and they'll play an important role in season 2. Again, I don't want to give too much away, but it'll be cool. The fans are going to be excited," he said.

Kreisberg also teased that if there will be a season 2, it will most likely tackle the evolution of Kara and Cat's working relationship as well as Hank's "Martian Manhunter-ness."

In a separate statement, executive producer Ali Adler revealed that they are currently in talks with CBS regarding what season 2 will look like.

An article published by Christian Today said that an official statement about the renewal could be made next month.
