'Super Smash Bros.' Wii U News: Title Sold 2M In Last Month, Along With Nintendo 3DS, 2DS
In line with Nintendo's title for Wii U, "Super Smash Bros.," it is revealed that the studio has sold more than a million copies of the title last month. As per reports, this milestone is at par with the sales boost of the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS.
Nintendo managed to sell two million units of the title for the Wii U while three million units for the 3DS version in June, Gaming Bolt has learned. As per the publication, the figures are close to that of March, as the global sales as of March. 31 for the Wii U version are at 4.8 million units while the 3DS version sold 8.12 million units.
The publication added that the company's 3DS handheld line-up, which covered the 2DS, had sales boost by 39 percent in June, with the latter console dropping its price to $80 in the United States in May. Along with "Super Smash Bros.," it is further revealed that the NPD Group's best-seller list unveils "Minecraft" Wii U as the 11th selling game while "Kirby: Planet Robobot" landed as the fourth best-selling game in the United States last month.
According to Game Spot, Nintendo's E3 surprise-release title, "Rhythm Heaven Megamix" received positive sales feedback from fans and gamers. As cited by the publication, the game managed to go on the of the Nintendo eShop charts and stay on top within the month.
For the time being, Nintendo fans and gamers are waiting for the much-anticipated release of "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" for the 3DS. The title's are set to be released on Nov. 18.
