'Super Smash Bros.' for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U Rumored To Come In Bundle; Corrin, Bayonetta Characters On The Way

Along with the "Super Smash Bros." release date announcement, it has also been hinted in rumors that the game's DLC is expected to be launched with the much anticipated release of the Nintendo NX console as a bundle.

On Jan. 28, industry analyst Dr. Serkan Toto tweeted that Bandai Namco was developing several Nintendo NX titles, adding that "Smash Bros." was planned to be a launch title. Toto mentioned that he was not sure about the date yet, however.

Toto replied to Twitter user M.H. Williams that he could not reveal the source of information, but was certain that the source was very solid. He added that he would not have tweeted if his source was unreliable.

According to Games Radar, Toto's statement sounds realistic, leading to an assumption that "Super Smash Bros." for Nintendo NX console would be an "upgraded version" of "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Since six years have passed after the release of the two games, it is also expected that the new game will not have a different title.

In December last year, new details on "Super Smash Bros." were revealed, including Cloud's combat and stage protocol, as well as the inclusion of the characters Corrin and Bayonetta. According to Game Rant, the DLC fighters will both be accessible this February, as per the latest tweet from Nintendo America.

Corrin is the most recent fighter from the "Fire Emblem" series while Bayonetta rises as the top choice among European voters in the "Super Smash Bros." character ballot. Masahiro Sakurai announced their inclusion during the Super Smash Bros.' Nintendo Direct live stream.

"Super Smash Bros." Corrin and Bayonetta can be purchased and downloaded on Feb. 3.
