Super-Sized Galaxy S6 Edge Version News, Rumors: Is Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus Joining the Note Family?
If latest rumors and leaks are to be believed, Samsung seems to be planning a super-sized edition of its Galaxy S6 Edge.
According to Tech Radar, a few photos leaked online a few weeks back was a first indication of this, and now there is additional hints that the South Korean electronics company has already started working in this direction.
The initial reports came from the Galaxy Club in the Netherlands that said Samsung has trademarked the S6 Note name in South Korea. It suggests that the company's upcoming Plus device will be joining the Note family.
On the basis of what has been revealed so far, the website reports that there seems to be no other device that could be the S6 Note. It speculates that the upcoming Note from the company may possibly feature a curved screen like the one in Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge with a view to tell apart the device from the upcoming Galaxy Note 5.
The report further states that there are some latest updates regarding the specs of the S6 Note (or S6 Plus). According to SamMobile, the purported phablet will have a massive 5.7-inch screen, bigger compared to what was believed earlier.
It is expected that the upcoming device will certainly incorporate the distinctive curved edges as seen in the Galaxy S6 Edge. In addition, sources told SamMobile that the device is likely to come with Android 5.1.1 out of the box.
While no additional detail regarding the device is available at the moment, it is rumored that the upcoming device will be launched in Q3 2015 - sometime in July, August or September this year. If this turns out to be true, it shouldn't be too long before tech enthusiasts can see the handset confirmed.
