'Super Mario Maker' Update & Latest News: 100 New Challenges Created On 3DS Platform

There are 100 new challenges in the "Super Mario Maker" update for 3DS in addition to the countless levels created for the Wii U, according to the latest news reports.

Just remember, however, that not all levels in the Wii U can be playable for the "Super Mario Maker" on Nintendo 3DS. You also need an Internet access in order to get into the online features.

The game's arrival on Nintendo 3DS was announced on Dec. 2 and the features are basically the same such as the 100 lives mode, the creation tools and the ability to choose from various art styles. The side-scrolling courses can be customized depending on the level requirements.

In related news, the Kickstarter campaign, "Kingdom Death Monster" 1.5 has piggybacked on the popularity of "Super Mario Maker." The update was introduced by creator Adam Poots focusing on dice-rolls to get items from the Gambler's Chest.

The challenge to clear the level was issued via the "Super Mario Maker" and the creator said that until anybody clears the level, there would be no more update.

But Tech Raptor noted that since the challenge was issued, there were numerous players who already claimed that they cleared the level. The ball is now in Poots' court whether or not he will follow through with his promise to release more content. It's not clear also if "Super Mario Maker" will be involved in the update.

Watch out for more news on the "Super Mario Maker" update, which will be published here when they come along.
