‘Super Mario Maker’ Key Update On Wii U: Promises To Boost Gameplay, Unlock Doors and Enter New Levels
Japanese developer Nintendo has announced the new update for "Super Mario Maker" which allows users to make use of the key to unlock more doors and enter new levels.
"Fans of the Super Mario World game for the Super NES fondly remember the key item, which, when grabbed, unlocks keyholes and grants access to new parts of the level," the Nintendo website said. "With this new free update to Super Mario Maker, both the key and locked doors with keyholes will be added to the game."
Players can also collect pink coins during a level, after which a key will appear. By using this key, along with the pink coins and locked door, they can access "puzzle solving levels."
Chris Kohler of Wired described the new update to "Super Mario Makers" as a game changer.
He wrote, "One extra feature that goes along with the key item adds another wrinkle. Keys also can be hidden inside enemies, which must be defeated to get the key. This unlocks the ability to create boss fights-those epic enemy encounters that must be won before Mario can move on."
The new update to the "Super Mario Maker" will also allow gamers to play the "Super Expert" difficulty level.
As the Nintendo website explained, players ho complete the 100-Mario Challenge under the "Super Expert" difficulty level can win five "Mystery Mushroom costumes." The developer recently added new costumes into the game such as the Daisy costume and the Professor E. Gadd costume.
