'Suicide Squad' News: Official Trailer Reveals Jared Leto's Joker [VIDEO]

The long-awaited 'Suicide Squad' trailer has finally been released by Warner Bros. Pictures, following a subsequent leak after an exclusive showing at San Diego's Comic-Con.

Exclusive content such as this is very hard to contain to one exclusive showing, and so to combat the recent illegal piracy and marketing of the footage, the studio decided to just release the full-length official trailer.

"Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday," Sue Kroll, Warner Bros. president of worldwide marketing and international distribution, said in a statement. "We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic-Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation."

The collective response for the trailer has been amazing, as fans finally get to feast their eyes on the actors in motion for the first time. The end of the trailer even gave fans their first official look at Jared Leto's performance for his iconic Joker role, which seemed to add more in favor for his casting and costume.

The performances from Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Hernandez as El Diablo, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, all also received similar responses.

'Suicide Squad' plans to rush into theaters in a major way on August 5, 2016.
