'Suicide Squad' News: New Teaser Is Brutal, Hilarity And Action Rolled Into One
Warner Bros. Pictures recently unveiled the new "Suicide Squad" trailer video featuring the Joker, Deadshot, Harley Quinn and the other members of the Task Force X.
Directed by David Ayer, "Suicide Squad" stars Oscar nominee Will Smith, Oscar winner Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman and Oscar nominee Viola Davis.
At the Comic-Con International presentation for his upcoming movie, the director said that he envisioned to make a film "that looked like a comic book." Following his statement, he presented the teaser video for "Suicide Squad," which was brutal, hilarious, messy and action-packed altogether.
The video clip shows the Task Force X in all its glory, as well as other new other footages that feature the official soundtrack of the film.
Task Force X is made up of Deadshot, Harley Quin, the Joker and Captain Boomerang. It is a secret team of supervillains who were given an offer from Amanda Waller to go to an against-all-odds mission to take down a mysterious, seemingly undefeatable entity.
As the movie premieres, fans will see if this group of despicable individuals who have nothing to lose will resolve to die trying.
"Suicide Squad" also stars Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, Cara Delevingne, adam Beach and Karen Fukuhara. Produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle and executive-produced by Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson and Geoff Johns, the film features songs from "Suicide Squad: The Album," including "Heathens" by Twenty One Pilots, "Sucker for Pain" with Logic, Ty Dolla Sign and X Ambassadors by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and Imagine Dragons.
The film is set to be released on August 5.
