'Suicide Squad' News: New Trailer Released at Comic Con 2015
'Suicide Squad' still has another month remaining in its production stage, but that did not stop the stars of the film and its director, David Ayer, from taking a road trip to Comic Con on the weekend in order to build anticipation for the super villain feature film.
Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Cara Delevingne, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, Common, Adam Beach, Joel Kinnaman, Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholz, and KAren Fukuhara were all present for the panel for the film on Saturday, with Jared Leto being the only noticeably absent cast member.
"Time for a movie about bad guys!" said Ayer to the crowd. "DC has the best villains. It's all about bad versus evil. We were shooting last night in Toronto but we had to come down because you guys run this [expletive]!"
During the panel, the first trailer for the film was revealed, which gave fans their first look at the villains as they show off the unique look of the film and some of its action.
Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn was definitely the star of the trailer. One clip of her showed her doing a split in mid air in her prison cell.
However, the character that everyone wanted a first look at was The Joker, who is played by Leto. The audience cheered when he appeared on screen.
Quinn asked him whether he was the devil, to which he replied "All you need to know is that you work for me."
The 'Suicide Squad' will not be in theaters until August 5th, 2016, which is just four months after the release of 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice'.
