'Suicide Squad' Cast News: Margot Robbie Talks about Playing Harley Quinn in Sequel Films
Actress Margot Robbie has seemed to almost hit instant success in Hollywood with her recent projects, and the news of her portraying Harley Quinn in David Ayer's 'Suicide Squad' has earned her even more buzz.
"Robbie, 24, is making the best of both blessings and crafting what promises to be an exciting career, with upcoming roles in a new 'Tarzan' film and 'Suicide Squad', the much-anticipated, comic-book super-villain flick. In her latest film, 'Focus', which opens Friday, Feb. 27, Robbie teams up in a ... stylish con-artist flick with another Hollywood giant: Will Smith," writes AZ Central.
In a recent interview with the Arizona news outlet, Robbie was briefly asked on her most recent DC role, which she seemed excited to discuss.
When asked about possible sequels or spin-offs, Robbie responds:
"Oh my God, me too. I don't even know if I'm meant to be talking about this."
"Yeah, that's daunting. You don't need to have commitment issues to be frightened by the fact that you might have just signed 10 years of your life away. ... But with her, it's a character I don't think would ever get boring. Ever. So if they did 'Suicide Squad One', 'Two' and 'Three', I would be over the moon about it."
That may be a strong possibility as one would expect from a DC or Marvel franchise. Both their cinematic universes are based on constant sequels and spin-offs, so its rarely ever a one time thing.
Its still uncertain how good the movie will do, but in any case, it is still almost definite that her and the rest of the cast will make cameos in other various DC films.
'Suicide Squad' will find its way to theaters on August 5th, 2016.
