'Suicide Squad' New Cast News: 'Twilight' Actor Alex Merhaz Tapped for Role in Upcoming Film
Suicide Squad continues to reveal new members to its growing cast, and this time, Alex Merhaz, who is known for playing Paul Lahote, a werewolf in the Twilight Saga, will be joining the upcoming movie adaptation of DC Comics super villains by David Ayer.
The movie, Suicide Squad, will be hitting the big screen in North America on August 5th, 2016 and it is an anti hero film.
The film will begin production in Toronto, and Ben Affleck has already been seen on the set, which has spurred rumors that he will be appearing in the movie as Bruce Wayne or Batman. Jared Leto has been cast as the The Joker, Joel Kinnaman will be playing Rick Flagg and Will Smith will portray Deadshot.
Margot Robbie will also star as Harley Quinn, with Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
The Joker has also been rumored to appear in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, which will be released on March 25th, 2016. In fact, there have been reports that The Joker will be seen beating Robin to death in a flashback scene.
Adding fuel to the rumors, Leto posted a picture of himself on Instagram, wearing a Superman tank top.
He has also posted a photo of himself with several tattoos which has sparked debates among fans of the franchise about the portrayal of the Joker. However, it has been suggested that those pictures are just for promotional photos and the tattoos will not appear in the film.
There has not been any information released as yet about what character Merhaz will be playing in Suicide Squad.
