The 'Suicide Squad' is definitely increasing in the number of big names that will appear on the cast list of the upcoming film.

Rapper/Actor Common has joined Will Smith, Jared Leto and others in the cast of the "Suicide Squad". Talk about fan's speculations- just when fans of the film assumed that all the stars for the main roles had been taken, Common comes along.

Common's role is still unknown, much like the roles of Scott Eastwood and Ike Barinholtz. Reports from the Hollywood Reporter has it that he just stated that he had just "closed a deal" to appear in the film. No further information was given concerning the role he will play. His face became common lately on TV, as he won Best Original Song with John Legend for "Selma."

His role in the film might not be a big one as it was not finalized as at when the shooting of the film started but that still does not mean that it is not an important role. Common might be standing against the main cast of the Suicide Squad and not with them as there has been little said concerning the operative that the squad will be facing. The number of appearances he will make in the film remains a mystery also.

Although nothing is impossible, this news of the casting may rule Common's return to the role of Green Lantern out as a solo Green Lantern film is not expected before 2020. But this still mere speculation of fans as the choice of what comes up in the film is a choice dependent David Ayer.

For all his fans know at the moment, his role remains a mystery that will be unravelled soon enough.
