'Suicide Squad' Movie News, Rumors: David Ayer Leaks New Image; Film Will Feature More Batman?
Along with talks that David Ayer's upcoming DC Comics film "Suicide Squad" is set to feature more Batman, the director has shared a new promotional image while film actor Jai Courtney has described him as psychotic.
On Apr. 9, Ayer took to his official Twitter account an image of a fish in neon light. The "Suicide Squad" director's photo had no caption, but it is assumed that the fish in the image could be a representation of The Joker's laughing fish from the comic book, according to Yahoo.
As per the publication, Ayer's later photo could also be the director's form of teasing the rumored footage fans are expecting at the "MTV Movie Awards" broadcast.
In other news, "Divergent" actor Courtney has described Ayer as "psychotic." In his interview with Collider, Courtney was asked to use one word to describe the "Suicide Squad" director. He said that Ayer was psychotic, adding that he was the man and one of the greats.
Courtney believes that Ayer had an amazing future ahead of him and he hoped that they got to work together again. The "Divergent" actor added that he had nothing but admiration for the director, along with small amounts of fear. As per the actor, Ayer loved attention to detail and he was not interested in comfort.
For Courtney, being off center created a space for wonderful things to happen and that was the world Ayer liked to play in, adding that that was very exciting.
In line with Ayer's "Suicide Squad," it has also been revealed that the DC Comics film is set to feature more Batman, even after the Dark Knight's appearance in Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." According to Umberto Gonzalez of Heroic Hollywood, the film had a lot more Batman than the staff members were letting on.
Ayer's "Suicide Squad" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on Aug. 5. Watch the trailer here.
