'Suicide Squad' Movie News: Harley Quinn Deviates From Iconic Sassy Independent Woman?

Kids may classify her as Batman's villain, but Harley Quinn is many cosplayer's favorite heroine. Her curly blonde pigtails, colored blue on one end, and red on the other, perfectly compliments the shimmering red and blue markings under her eyes. Her bleached white skin is wrapped in perfectly fitting edgy garb, topped by killer accessories.

Unfortunately, it looks like the upcoming all-villain film "Suicide Squad" will be giving us a different Harley.

Teaser images featured a Harley with a much thinner face -- borderline undernourished and a tad matured than the young-looking and charming versions that came ahead.

The 2016 Harley is packaged to be a sexy hot chick, dressed in scanty street clothes. The camera focuses on her booty shorts.

Beyond the outfit, the new Harley Quinn has lost the essence of the iconic character.

Harley Quinn first appeared in "Batman: The Animated Series" as a clever and tough but vulnerable and damaged lady who chose to go bad.

She chose to get injected with Poison Ivy which makes her hard and agile.

In "Suicide Squad," Harley Quinn was no more than Joker's side-kick who was dragged into the dark side. She's definitely less empowered compared to the original bravada who made her way from being a passing character to a comic icon.

Perhaps the coming together of all evil forces has to demote someone to a less vile position, reports Hitflix.
