'Suicide Squad' Casting News: Actor Jai Courtney Talks about his Captain Boomerang Role

It seems like everybody attached to David Ayer's 'Suicide Squad' project is attesting to its impending success despite the secrecy around it, past the casting list of course.

Actor Jai Courtney has recently come forward to speak on how he's preparing for his role as Captain Boomerang. The Australian talent is most known for his roles in 'Divergent' and 'A Good Day to Die Hard'.

Approached by Variety at the premiere of 'Divergent', Courtney states:

"I've been training for three months in different martial arts. As you can imagine for that superhero world, the athletic expectations are rather high."

As all the actors approached on the movie, Courtney refused to reveal any juicy details.

"I can't reveal anything about the plot," he said, "I'm working with a great cast. It's a wonderful group, and I'm really pumped to be working among them."

He does however uncover that his character will be Australian, which delighted him as he won't have to disguise his accent as he would for most American roles.

"It's going to be a huge action film, very visual, but grounded in the characters," he concludes.

'Suicide Squad' drops into theaters on August 5th 2016.
