‘Suicide Squad’ Cast Rumors: Batman Ben Affleck Featured in Upcoming Villain Based Movie?
When Tom Hardy quit the cast of 'Suicide Squad,' speculations were rife that he will be replaced by Jake Gyllenhaal. Tom was selected for the role of Rick Flag, the deputy of the character Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) in the movie. At the same time, there were rumors that Jesse Eisenberg, who will be seen as Lex Luthor in the upcoming 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' movie, would be making an appearance in the film together with Davis.
According to Christian Today, whether or not Jesse Eisenberg will feature in 'Suicide Squad,' rumors are rife that Ben Affleck, who is portraying Batman in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,' is likely to feature in 'Suicide Squad,' which is scheduled to hit theaters in the U.S. on Aug. 5, 2016.
While most part of 'Suicide Squad' storyline comprised the 'Batman: Assault on Arkham,' the original DC animated feature, Batman did make an appearance with a view to foil their plans. Forbes said that this time the Caped Crusader may possibly be seen in a larger role compared to what his presence in the animated feature, as this will enable the producers to broaden the plot as well as the fight between him and the Joker.
However, the CT report says that Ben Affleck is yet to be approached for his appearance in 'Suicide Squad.'
'Suicide Squad' director David Ayer, who earlier directed the war film "Fury," is yet to reveal any plot details of the upcoming movie. However, there are rumors that the storyline of the movie will center on Lex Luthor's involvement in a productive, but unlawful venture bubbed as superhero trafficking. When Amanda Waller discovers this, she engages the squad to try and undertake the mission for a pardon or a reduced sentence, and, at the same time, put an end to Lex Luthor's schemes for good.
In addition to Davis, the cast of 'Suicide Squad' will comprise Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevigne, and Jared Leto.
