'Suicide Squad' Cast, Release Date: David Ayer’s New Movie Poster Is Sinister and Sweet? [TRAILER]
In line with David Ayer's upcoming DC Comics film "Suicide Squad," the director has unveiled another tease to the fans, in a form of a poster.
Ayer's "Suicide Squad" film poster is simple, but effective, according to Comic Book Resources. As per the publication, the poster managed to deliver elements of sinister and sweetness, blended in an array of colors. The poster shows the titled "Suicide Squad," with a hashtag, along with five names of its cast. It also notably shows a lollipop, with a skull design on it, which tries to convey darkness and fun when the film hits theaters in August.
Directed by Ayer, "Suicide Squad" centers on a secret government agency recruiting imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in trade for their redemption. Nanobombs are implanted on them to prevent them from doing any mischief, hence the term "Suicide Squad."
"Suicide Squad" stars Ike Barinholtz, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Common, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne, Scott Eastwood, Ben Affleck, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, and Will Smith.
The film is also set to return for a sequel and it is reportedly beginning to film in 2017. According to Variety, Smith and Ayer are set to work again on the said project. The publication added that the hope was to get production rolling this year on "Bright" to prepare the actor and the director for the sequel.
Ayer's "Suicide Squad" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on Aug. 5. The film can be seen in Real D 3D and IMAX 3D.
