'Suicide Squad' Cast News, Spoilers, Rumors: New Joker Jared Leto Drops Major Spoiler About Upcoming Film

Jared Leto has caused quite the controversy in the DC fan world with his recent three word comment back to a fan.

The actor has been cast to play the Joker in DC's movie adaptation of "Suicide Squad." Since the day of the revealed casting, the speculation on how satisfactory the actor will portray the character has been in question, especially preceding the last iconic performances of the character by Heath Ledger.

On Vyrt, a commercial-free live video streaming service directed by Leto, a fan commented, "You're reminding me of Batman, unseen hero!"

Leto then replies, "Batman is dead," offering no explanation to what he meant by the quote.

This of course was most likely the actor having some fun with a fan, but the comment has been dissected amongst fans of the DC franchise. Some even think that this may have been a spoiler on the cinematic universe Leto may have just let slip.

Although, if anything were to happen to character in the cinematic universe, the actor would have some of that inside scoop.

So far we all expect to see the caped crusader in the new "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" film, but could it be true that the character is pronounced dead at the end?

It's difficult to tell for sure, but it's a treat to see the actor so engaged in the speculation from his fans. Leto isn't particularly known for his comedic genius, but he is playing The Joker. This stunt could have just been him getting into character.

In any case, it would be far-fetched to believe the actor would consciously get himself into that kind of trouble, dropping such a potential spoiler.

"Suicide Squad" is projected to begin filming this spring in Toronto. Along with Leto, the film will star Will Smith, Jai Courtney, Margot Robbie, and possible Jake Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis.
