'Suicide Squad' Cast News, Rumors: Jared Leto to Play the Role of Joker, Filming Starts Soon

Major news has emerged in regards to the comic book world this week as the new DC movie is reportedly ready to start filming. The production team behind the upcoming superhero villain movie, 'Suicide Squad', announced that filming will commence shortly.

The 'Suicide Squad' series was started in 1987 by DC Comics. The Squad is made up of the Joker, Rick Flag, Deadshot, Boomerang, Harley Quinn, and Enchantress. The plot of the series has these supervillains serving time, but being offered lesser sentences from the government.

The only catch is that they must perform dangerous missions. The other catch is that they don't get along with each other, they don't like the government, and they technically do not even exist in the eyes of the law.

Many fans of the Batman series were incredibly excited about the announcement of Jared Leto as the Joker. His acting career has really taken off and many say he will be just as great as Heath Ledger was. The other cast members include Will Smith as Deadshot, Tom Hardy as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Cara Delevingne will play Enchantress.
