'Suicide Squad' Cast News: Director David Ayer Posts First Cast Photo Over Twitter
The first cast photo for the new movie, Suicide Squad, was tweeted on May 3rd by the movie's director, David Ayer.
The photograph features Harley Quinn, who is being played by Margot Robbie, Deadshot, played by Will Smith, Captain Boomerang who will be played by Jai Courtney, and Cara Delevingne's Enchantress.
Also featured in the photo is Adam Beach as Slipknot, Karan Fukuhara as Katana, Rick Flagg, portrayed by Joel Kinnaman and Killer Croc and El Diablo, played by Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje and Jay Hernandez, respectively.
The director posted the photo, captioning it with: "Task Force X assembled and ready #Suicide Squad." The only super villain missing from the photo was the Joker, who will be played by Jared Leto in the film.
Fans of the comics are excited. If the plot line of the movie stays true to the comics, then the group of some of the most evil comic book villains will be coming together to take on a special government mission. If they are able to complete the mission successfully, their time at the Belle Reve Penitentiary will be shortened.
Jared Leto has completely transformed himself and this is bringing his own, unique version of the Joker to the big screen. He has even cut off his popularly long hair for his role.
He also dyed his hair platinum blond, and then lime green for the role. His first character photo was released on the 24th of April, showing the Joker with bloodshot eyes, several tattoos, and projecting the Joker's evil persona.
Is it possible that this super villain film could blow out the box office?
