‘Street Fighter V’ PS4 & PC Beta Details: Cross-Platform Testing Starts October 24

Gamers waiting for the upcoming Capcom title 'Street Fighter V' were happy to learn that cross-platform beta testing is set to start on October 24. Gamers will be able to play against each other whether they have the beta on the PC or the PS4.

For those that may not know the beta officially begins on October 22nd and runs through October 25th. While this sounds very exciting for the gamers who get a chance to try the game out, the post warns that they may experience issues since it is a beta test after all.

According to the official post, "users may experienceissues. It's these issues, however, that provide Capcom with valuable information to ensure that Street Fighter V is as optimized as possible upon final release, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time."

While 'Street Fighter V' has an extensive list of characters that gamers can choose from, the beta will only allow certain fighters to be chosen. "When the beta launches, Ken, Necalli, Vega and R. Mika will be selectable," writes Capcom employee CombiFiend.

Some of the other features gamers should anticipate with this game are quite ground breaking in the SF franchise. For starters players will be able to climb the ladder in Ranked Matchmaking.

They'll also be able to see who's the very best as Combined Leaderboards will available and certainly make some matches pretty intense and heated.

Player Search will also be tested which lets users look at other player's profiles. Their profiles will provide information on their ranking, strategies, and which fighters they frequently use.

Last but not least, Fight Money Unlockables will be features which is explained in the post. ComboFiend writes,  "During the last beta, many players accumulated a lot of Fight Money, which they weren't able to use. This changes as we're testing out the ability to unlock items through fight money. Players can look forward to unlocking titles and maybe even the Kanzuki Estate stage."

Adding, "all things acquired (Fight Money, leaderboard status, titles) will only be available during this beta and will not carry over onto the next beta nor onto final release."

All in all, 'Street Fighter V' will surely be a hit on both the PC and the PS4 platforms. While here is no official release date slated as of yet, it's going to hit shelves sometime next year.
