‘Street Fighter V’ New Character & Trailer News: Zangief Gameplay Video Released [VIDEO]
Gamers waiting for the upcoming Capcom title 'Street Fighter V' were happy to learn that the series classic fighter Zangief has officially been added to the roster. On top of that, the company released some gameplay footage of the fighter to tickle fans' taste buds even more.
For those that may not know, Zangief, also known as a The Red Cyclone, is an icon staple in the series. He's a wrestler from Russia that has the brute strength to toss and hurl even the heaviest and strongest of opponents. It's said that the fighter owes his large muscular body to his intense training regimen which includes wrestling bears.
One of the moves showcased in the recently released trailer is his V-Skill Iron Muscle. With this move, Zangief truly demonstrates his unstoppable brute force as he's able to absorb one attack, leaving him recovering a portion of his health. If the player chooses to do so, and with the right combination of inputs, Zangief closes in on his enemy and packs his own blow as well.
Also known as the Iron Cyclone, Zangief is also equipped with another fitting move, V-Trigger Cyclone Lariat. With this ability Zangief spins at an incredible speed and draws into the opponent. If done correctly the player taps V-Trigger activation and quickly pulls in the enemy fighter. This can be repeated if the activation button is repeatedly pressed, hitting the opponent multiple times.
Beyond all that, gamers looking to actually play as Zangief will have to wait until the game is released next year. As it stands, there is no official release date listed for the game, however it is slated for release sometime in the year 2016.
