'Street Fighter 5' Update News: DLC Available March 31; Price Drop For Collector’s Edition Game

There's no news yet on the "Street Fighter 5" DLC and the rumors are silent on any updates.

The recent rumors claimed that there's going to be a "Street Fighter 5" DLC update on Mar. 31 for the character Alex.

Previously, Capcom described Alex as a "brash grappler" whose temperament always lands him in trouble.

His backstory goes like this according to Capcom:

"His parents died while he was still young, so he was raised by his father's friend, Tom, who taught him everything he knows about fighting."

He's one of the original fighters who is coming back with his power bombs, mid-range game and incomparable grappling skills.

"Alex has a variety of special attacks that can cover a large portion of the screen for those times when the opponent keeps him out," the Capcom description added. "Players looking for a methodical grappler who can do big burst damage up close, yet still do well at midrange, will find themselves perfectly at home with Alex."

Meanwhile, Pixelgate commented that "Street Fighter 5" DLC update should include some surprises because the current roster leaves much to be desired, and the news surrounding the game is not very encouraging either.

It noted, "Street Fighter 5 was supposed to be 'the' fighter of the current generation. Capcom could have, perhaps should have, taken the throne. The lack of content in the core release has left Street Fighter 5 in a state of uncertainty."

In other news, Amazon is offering a 15% discount on the collector's edition of "Street Fighter 5" bundle along with free shipping.

The price of $84.53 for the "Street Fighter 5" game disc, from the original $99.99, already includes a Ryu figurine that is 10-inch tall, the 48-page hardcover art book as well as DLC cards. You can order here.
