'Street Fighter 5' PS4 & PC News: Upcoming Beta Release & New Character Reveal

The long awaited beta version of 'Street Fighter 5' has finally been announced and it sounds as if the developers have some big plans in store for it.

"Details on the beta are extremely light, but Capcom says it intends for it to be the 'largest and most ambitious online beta program in franchise history'. The beta will take place on PlayStation 4 and PC, and it 'will be essential to collect your feedback and to ensure that Street Fighter V is the best iteration yet', writes Gamespot.

No dates for the beta has been revealed, but it has been confirmed that North Americans will have access to it from pre-ordering the game.

There are also no words on what exactly the beta will offer in terms of content or how long the beta will run for, but much like most most unfinished products, details have been promised in the near future.

Along with this news, Capcom has decided to reveal the return of the franchise's beloved character, Charlie Nash.

A gameplay video for the character has been released and his new design suggest that they're bringing him back from the dead, as he was implied to be in previous titles.

A release date for the game has not been disclosed.
