'Street Fighter 5' News: Uploading Game Video Without Returning To Main Menu Considered Rage Quit

Along with the qualifications of released characters in Capcom's "Street Fighter 5," details on rage quitters' punishment have resurfaced.

Game quitters are always there in general and they quit the match for various reasons. According to The Bit Bag, players who do so will either be banned or have their rank reset. With this, it is added that uploading a gameplay video and then not returning to the game's main menu is now counted as quitting.

A case in point is Reddit user gameribbons. On Sept. 5, he wrote on the forum website that he had not realized that one had to go back to the menu to fully register a game. As a result he got banned and his rank had got reset. For the Redditor, it was "dumb" as he had not even left mid-match.

Reddit user DoctorGirby clarified gameribbon's concern. On Sept. 5, he wrote that after a game, players were prompted with "Return to queue, return to main menu, or exit game." He said that if one closed the game without returning the main menu, the game logs the player as ragequitting.

The issue may be resolved in the future, as per The Bit Bag. According to the publication, Capcom may release a future update that allows players to leave the game after a match. Therefore, leaving the game afterward will not lead to a ban or warning.

In June, Capcom's Peter "Combofiend" Rosas talked about the balancing process for the game's DLC fighters. In a statement at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015, as cited by Event Hubs, Rosas said that the DLC characters were being extensively tested in Japan.

Rosas also described how characters get into the game. In the same interview, he said that when they felt the character was strong and capable, but not broken, then that character was ready for prime time.

"Street Fighter 5" is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Linux in 2016.
